Smallmouth Bass

People consider this one of the hardest fighting freshwater fish anywhere.  Whether it is dredging the depths with the classic clouser minnow or waiting for the explosive top water take.  These fish will leave you wanting for more.

Musky

These fish are the apex predators of our rivers and lakes.  Readily taking a fly these fish are strong fighters making runs or at times charging the boat ready for a fight.  Musky fishing demands every ounce of your attention; they will come out of nowhere and surprise you every time.  With every cast you have the possibility of hooking into that fish of a lifetime, the one that will leave your knees weak and your hands shaking for days.

Great Northern Fly Fishing Guiding Northern Wisconsin Rivers:

Great Northern Fly Fishing offers multiple options in warm water fly fishing on many great northern Wisconsin rivers.  We offer full or half day trips using Mckenzie style drift boats floating some of the most beautiful and diverse rivers in Wisconsin.  All of the trips are guided by a professional, knowledgeable and courteous guide.  Our guide diligently prepares for every trip going over every detail to ensure you have the best possible experience possible.  ​

Full Day Float: $500- 1 or 2 anglers

- Includes rods, reels, flies, lunch, beverages and snacks.

Half Day Float:$400-1 or 2 anglers

-Includes rods, reels and flies

 


What to Bring:

Because we float in all different types of weather you need to be prepared.

- Polarized sun glasses

- Hat, rain jacket and pants, waders and boots.

- Gloves and warm clothes in the colder months

- Camera

We supply all rods, reels and flies but feel free to bring your own gear if you feel more comfortable with that.


Requirements:

All guest are required to have a valid Wisconsin Fishing license.  A fishing license can be purchased online through the Wisconsin DNR.

We ask that a $100 deposit be made at the time of booking.  In the event of cancellation the deposit will be refunded if the cancellation is made before one month of the trip.  A rain check will be issued in the event Great Northern has to cancel due to mitigating circumstances such as inclement weather or other emergencies out of the control of Great Northern Fly Fishing.  

All full day floats are a minimum of 8 hours and half day floats are a minimum of 4 hours.  We are fully insured and safety of our guests are a top priority.
